🏡🐶Seeking Forever Home🐶🏡 Name: Sicura Breed: American Bulldog X Mastiff mix Gender: Female Size: Large 32kg 🎂 DOB: 12/01/2023 🐱 Cats: In progress 🐶 Dogs: Yes please 🧒 Children: dog savvy older kids, absolutely 🏃🏻‍♀️ Energy level: Couch Potato - Moderate 📌 Location: Clayton South, VIC 🆔 Microchip: 900164002348405 PER: RE100115 Meet Sicura Sicura is a beautiful, loving American Bulldog mix who is looking for a family where she can feel safe, included and truly part of the family. She is a big girl with an equally big love of food, walks and being around her people! Sicura is very food-motivated and will happily sit for treats — making training a great way to build her confidence and strengthen her bond with her new family. She absolutely loves getting out for her walks and one of her favourite things to do is roll around on the grass and enjoy life. She also loves going for car rides, so she’ll be a great companion for adventures and outings. Sicura is dog friendly and is respectful when meeting them on walks, and could live with another calm, mentor dog who can teach her that the world isn’t so bad. She is also learning to live with cats. She is making progress, but her interactions with cats will still need to be supervised while she continues to learn and become comfortable with them. When it comes to people, Sicura can be nervous when meeting someone new. She needs time to feel comfortable and will do best with people who understand that she may need patient, gentle introductions rather than being expected to immediately trust strangers. Once she knows someone and feels safe, Sicura is a calm, relaxed and lovely girl who enjoys being around her people. Her new family will need to be confident and consistent leaders who can continue helping Sicura build her confidence around new people and support her ongoing socialisation. She will benefit from patient introductions, clear boundaries and positive reinforcement rather than being rushed into situations before she is ready. Although Sicura can stay by herself for a few hours, she really wants to feel included as part of the family. Ideally, her new home would allow her indoor access when her family is away, rather than leaving her outside for long periods. She wants to be included in family life and will thrive with people who see her as a member of the family. Because of her nervousness around unfamiliar people, children in the home should be older children or teenagers and up who can understand how to interact respectfully with a large dog. Most importantly, Sicura is hoping that her next home will be her forever home. She has so much love to give and deserves a family who is ready to welcome her into their lives for the long term, continue supporting her as she grows in confidence, and give her the stability and security she is looking for. We are looking for a family who is ready to make that lifelong commitment to Sicura and give her the wonderful future she deserves. 👇All enquiries, questions and interest in adoption need to be via the below link - Please provide detailed responses to the application questions highlighting how your home and lifestyle suit the needs of the individual dog/pup you are applying for.
