Paquito has had a rough start to life and hasn’t been shown the love, security and kindness that every dog deserves. Despite this, he is an incredibly gentle and affectionate soul. He loves nothing more than being close to his people and would happily cuddle with you all day if he could. ❤️ He is also wonderfully quiet and undemanding. Paquito is comfortable being left home alone and doesn't show signs of separation anxiety, making him a lovely companion for someone who enjoys a peaceful household. 🌿 A gentle soul finding his confidence Paquito is a sensitive boy who needs time, patience and a calm environment to truly flourish. Loud or sudden noises can make him flinch and retreat, so a quiet home where he isn't constantly exposed to chaos would suit him best. The beautiful thing is that, very slowly, Paquito is beginning to feel safe enough to show the dog he was always meant to be. We're starting to see glimpses of a playful, happy and cheeky side that he likely never had the opportunity to express before. Watching him discover that he can play, relax and simply enjoy being a dog has been incredibly rewarding. 🏡 His ideal home Paquito is looking for a calm and peaceful home with a secure backyard where he can relax, sniff, explore and gradually build his confidence. He would probably be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can have his person's attention and enjoy a predictable environment. That said, he may be able to live with another dog if they are similarly calm, gentle and low-energy. Any canine companion would need to be carefully matched to his temperament. Paquito isn't looking for an adventurous or chaotic lifestyle. He's looking for something much simpler: Safety. Love. Patience. A soft place to land. He has spent too much of his life without those things. Now he deserves to spend the rest of it knowing that he is safe, wanted and deeply loved.
