Montoya firmly believes that personal space is merely a suggestion! His motto is: “If I fit, I sit. And if I don’t fit? I sit anyway.” 😂 Whilst he may not understand the concept of personal space, he does have manners and if you ask him to sit or hop off, he’ll oblige… with the most unwilling expression imaginable! 😆 Montoya is a loyal boy who absolutely adores his humans. He loves being near you and is happiest when he can keep you company. He is however also quite happy spending time outside on his own, making him a great boy who can enjoy some independent time as well as plenty of affection and attention. Montoya has had very little socialisation with other dogs, and because of this, he can be quite unsure around them. For this reason, Montoya is looking for a home where he can be the only dog. His forever family will need to understand that his uncertainty isn’t something to rush and will need to continue working with him slowly and positively to build his confidence around other dogs. Thankfully, whilst Montoya has been missing his ears since he was a baby, he can still hear and speak the language of 'TREAT' This food motivation will help his family with their commitment to his ongoing positive training and socialisation.
