This chilled-out, easygoing guy is a gentle giant who loves a peaceful life and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He currently lives happily and harmoniously with a Staffy, a Kelpie and a Bull Arab. Dusty Buns is polite when meeting other dogs and prefers to keep things calm rather than get involved in rough play. He and his canine housemates share their space beautifully, even eating together and snoozing peacefully in their beds throughout the day. Dusty Buns would love a doggy friend to share his home with, but he could also be happy as an only dog, provided he still gets opportunities to enjoy doggy visitors and social outings. At home, Dusty Buns is an absolute dream. He is not destructive in the house or yard, although he does enjoy a good rope or rubber toy to chew on. He is toilet trained, with or without a dog door, and can safely spend a full working day home with his canine companions. He is also comfortable being crated overnight, but is equally happy without a crate. This clever boy already knows how to sit and wait patiently for his food, has lovely manners around mealtimes and is very responsive when called. He does pull a little on lead, particularly when he spots the perfect rock or bush for a wee, but he responds to being asked to stop and would benefit from a little more lead-training practice. Car rides? No worries! Dusty Buns travels well and is ready to be your laid-back adventure buddy.
